Protection

Protection

Protection of fundamental human entitlements is at the centre of our organization’s mandate and work in Somalia. Human entitlements constitute a set of rights and duties necessary for the protection of human dignity, inherent to all human beings, irrespective of nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, language, or any other status. We carry out programmes and projects aimed at protecting the most vulnerable people in Somalia including the elderly, women, children and anybody else whose human constitutional entitlement is at stake. Our work basically entails advocacy for the rights of displaced people in their context of displacement, child protection initiatives, individual protection assistance based on vulnerability, sexual and gender-based violence prevention, conduct monitoring of rights and rights awareness-raising.
