Overview of the Crisis
This comprehensive field report focuses on the escalating shelter and survival needs of the
Internally Displaced People (IDPs) currently residing in the Campasa Refugee camps. During
the visit, it was observed that hundreds of families lack adequate protection from the
environment.
[Figure 1: Comprehensive aerial documentation of the Campasa Refugee camp infrastructure.]
2. Shelter and Living Conditions
The majority of Internally Displaced People are living in traditional "buuls" or makeshift
structures that are structurally unsound. These houses offer no security during rain or extreme
heat, creating a precarious living situation for children and the elderly.
[Figure 2: Close-up assessment of a traditional shelter (buul).]
[Figure 3: Residents standing before traditional housing structures.]

3. Resource Access and Documentation
Beyond shelter, access to essential resources remains critical. Site assessments included
monitoring resource distribution points where local residents queue for water and basic
necessities.
[Figure 4: Documentation of water resource management and community queues.]
4. Field Team Assessment
Our dedicated field team, including the female assessment officers, visited the site to verify
reports and speak directly with the affected Internally Displaced People. The team highlighted
that the lack of shelter is directly contributing to health and safety concerns.
[Figure 5: Extended camp overview documentation.]
[Figure 6: SIADO personnel conducting environmental overview.]
[Figure 7: SIADO Organization assessment officers during the field site visit.]

5. Recommendations
As reported by Abdall Ashraf, the primary recommendation is the immediate delivery of
emergency shelter kits. Supporting the Internally Displaced People in Campasa remains a
humanitarian priority for the Siado Organization.

Siado Organization | Waabari District, Mogadishu, Somalia
Website: www.siado.org | Email: info@siado.org
Free Assessment Report – Humanitarian Aid Distribution

DOCUMENT: HUMANITARIAN ASSESSMENT REPORT CRISIS: Urgent Shelter Crisis: Campasa Refugee Camps ORGANIZATION: Siado Organization (Mogadishu / Dolow, Somalia) REPORTED BY / DATE: Abdall Ashraf | May 15, 2026 1.
