Location: Shangani and Liido Beaches, Banadir Region, Somalia\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Somali Aid and International Development Organization (SIADO)<\/strong> successfully conducted a Community Clean-Up and Public Awareness Campaign<\/strong> in May 2025<\/strong>, targeting Shangani and Lido beaches<\/strong> in the Banadir region. This important initiative aimed to remove plastic waste and raise awareness about environmental protection among local residents.<\/p>\n

The campaign focused on collecting plastic bags and other debris<\/strong> that have long harmed marine life and polluted the natural beauty of Somalia\u2019s coastline. Volunteers, community members, and local youth actively participated in the clean-up efforts.<\/p>\n

This activity was generously funded by the Somali diaspora in Australia<\/strong>, who support SIADO\u2019s mission to create cleaner, healthier communities and protect Somalia\u2019s environment.<\/p>\n

SIADO remains committed to promoting sustainable development and community engagement through ongoing awareness and environmental activities.<\/p>\n
